NSPT (Laser Therapy)

Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy using advanced laser technology for superior gum disease treatment — less pain, faster healing, better results.

What is NSPT (Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy)?

Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy (NSPT) is the most effective, non-invasive approach to treating gum disease (periodontal disease). At ProPinkGum, we combine traditional deep cleaning techniques with state-of-the-art laser therapy to deliver superior outcomes for our patients.

NSPT involves comprehensive scaling, root planing, and the use of a dental laser to remove infected gum tissue and bacteria from periodontal pockets — all without surgery. Laser therapy dramatically reduces inflammation, promotes faster healing, and minimizes patient discomfort compared to conventional methods.

Reduces gum inflammation and bleeding

Promotes faster tissue healing

Minimizes pain and discomfort

No incisions or stitches required

Preserves healthy gum tissue

How Laser Therapy Works

Laser Therapy for Gum Disease

Our dental laser emits a precise wavelength of light energy that selectively targets and destroys disease-causing bacteria while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. The laser simultaneously seals blood vessels and nerve endings, which means less bleeding and reduced pain during and after treatment.

The laser energy also stimulates tissue regeneration and collagen production, helping gum tissue reattach to the teeth more effectively than traditional methods alone.

Who Needs NSPT?

NSPT is recommended for patients diagnosed with moderate to advanced periodontal disease. Signs that you may benefit from this treatment include:

Bleeding gums when brushing or flossing

Swollen, red, or tender gum tissue

Persistent bad breath (halitosis)

Gum recession or teeth appearing longer

Loose or shifting teeth

Periodontal pockets deeper than 4mm

Bone loss detected on dental X-rays

NSPT vs. Traditional Gum Surgery

NSPT with Laser Therapy

  • Non-invasive — no cuts or stitches
  • Minimal bleeding during treatment
  • Less post-treatment pain
  • Faster recovery time
  • Targets bacteria precisely
  • Promotes tissue regeneration

Traditional Surgery

  • Invasive — incisions required
  • Sutures needed
  • More post-operative discomfort
  • Longer healing period
  • Risk of gum recession
  • General anesthesia sometimes required
